Bessie Jones

Funeral service for Bessie Jones, 95, of Capitan will be Friday, March 13, at 2:00 PM in the Capitan United Methodist Church with burial to follow at the Capitan Cemetery. Mrs. Jones passed away Monday, March 9, 2009, in Alamogordo. She was born September 28, 1913 in Lamesa, Texas. She moved to Lincoln County in 1934 from Seminole, Texas. She married Milton Jones on January 3, 1934 at Carrizozo and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1976. She attended the Capitan United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Lou Joiner; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family has requested memorials to the Capitan United Methodist Church or Capitan Senior Citizen Center.
