Bernardo Mancha

August 18, 1941 — June 23, 2016

Barnie Mancha, 74, of Capitan passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 in Ruidoso. He was born August 18, 1941 at Carrizozo and was a life long resident of Lincoln County. He served in the Army having served overseas in Europe. Barnie was the former fire chief of the Ft. Stanton Fire Department, was a volunteer with White Mountain Search and Rescue and was very involved in Men's and Little League Baseball. He had served as the Food Service Director at Ft. Stanton.

He married Sandra Peralta on November 4, 1965 in Roswell. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children, Bernardette Marie Stone, Junior Manche, David Michael Mancha and Lawrence Jon Mancha; 10 grandchildren, Andrew, Leonard, John, Heather, Bo, Nick, Thomas, Nathan, Colby and Makayla and 9 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will on Monday, July 4, at his residence beginning at 5:00 P.M.
