Arlene Jones

Arlene was born to Arlis and Oleta Richardson on February 3, 1933 at their home in Muleshoe, Texas.  To determine her weight they took a 4 lb bag of sugar in one hand and her in the other, said she wasn't quite 4 lbs but put that on her birth certificate.

After losing her mother at 5 years of age she lived first with her great aunt while her father was in the service during WWII, then with her father after the war.  She attended school in Muleshoe, Texas.

She married the love of her life, Paul A. Jones, on March 10, 1951 in Muleshoe, TX.

She spent her adult life making a home for her husband and three children.

She is survived by 2 children, her son Ed Jones & wife Gwen of Capitan, NM and her daughter Becky Jones of Capitan, NM. In addition she is survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Opal Peters of Ft, Sumner, NM.  She is preceded in death by her husband Paul and son Kenneth Jones.

Graveside services at Angus Cemetery will be on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a Celebration of Life reception immediately following at the Angus School House.

Arlene lived a full rich life with family and friends in her home in Lincoln County.
