April Whitehead

Visitation for April Blossom Whitehead, 40, of Mescalero will be Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso. Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 27, at 10:00 AM in the Mescalero Reformed Church with burial to follow at the Mescalero Cemetery. Ms. Whitehead passed away Monday, Sept. 24, in Mescalero. She was born April 28, 1967 in Phoenix, Arizona to Ernest Whitehead and the late Ila L. Chee and had lived most of her life at Mescalero. She had worked at Ski Apache and was a homemaker and a member of the Mescalero Reformed Church. She is survived by four daughters and three sons, Eugina Misquez, Wallace Rice, Raleigh Rice, Wesley Rice, Jonalynn Starr, Diamond Starr, and Sarahlynn Starr; two grandchildren, Dominick Provencio and Mike'la Alvarado; one sister and three brothers, Lowanda Enjady, Willard Evans Jr., and Pernell Evans. She also has numerous, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends that will dearly miss her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ila L. Chee and a brother, Dana Evans.
