Anne E. Wilson passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Anne was born on December 1st, 1958 in Carmel, California to Patrick and Elaine Wilson. After finishing high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she went on to get her bachelors in mechanical engineering. Anne worked for Rockwell International, Satellite and Space electronics Division designing military planes and space stations. After adopting her daughter, Vivian, she moved from California to New Mexico and received a masters in English. She went on to teach at ENMU Ruidoso. Anne took pride in helping with the ESL program and developing the online teaching program.
Anne had many passions and among them were dancing, music, traveling, flying, grammar, and being a part of the Ruidoso community. When she lived in California, she was a member of the Soaring Society of America and received a one diamond soaring award. After moving to Ruidoso, Anne was very active with community choir, church choir, and dance clubs. If you ever saw her dance, you know how gracefully and beautifully she moved. She loved people and had an adventurous spirit. Anne had charisma and anyone around her fell in love with her.
If you knew Anne in her later years, you knew how much she looked up to her father. She followed in his footsteps as much as possible. Growing up as an army brat instilled in her a love of travel and country. She was devastated by his passing and we can all take comfort in knowing she's now soaring in the sky with her dad.
Anne is survived by her mother, Elaine Wilson, her sister and brother Patricia and David Briggs, her daughter Vivian Wilson, and by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church (270 Country Club Dr), Ruidoso, New Mexico. Flowers can be sent to LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
