Adeliada Najar

A prayer service for Adelaida (Addie) Najar, 94,of Capitan, New Mexico will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, June 18, 2016 where the funeral mass will be held directly following. The burial will take place at the Silva Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Najar passed away June 13th in the faithful care of her daughter Veronica Gutierrez and her husband Ellie, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 18, 1922 in Sierreta, NM (Capitan) to Henry and Rebecca Silva.
As the youngest girl of 13 children, she spent most of her life in Carrizozo area with her family. She married Ramon Najar November 29, 1946 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage. She was a loving, strong matriarch raising her five children and many other children from town on the proud Silva Ranch.

Survivors include her children Veronica Gutierrez, and her husband Ellis of La Luz; a son, Chris Najar and his wife Mary of Las Vegas, NM; grandchildren Anthony Silva, Rebecca Klein, Nico Najar, Sonja Schroeder, Angela Najar, Chris Najar Jr., Frank Najar Jr., Anthony Ray Najar and Adam Gutierrez; 16 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ramon Najar; sons Raymond, David and Frank; and all 12 of her siblings: Fred, Vidal, Willy, Henry, Traquilino, Livorio, Juan, Margarito, Katarina, Susana, Susana, and Francisca.
