Donald A. Miner, a resident of Ruidoso, NM, for over 40 years, passed away in his home on November 5th at the age of 83.
Don was born in Mountain Grove, Missouri and graduated from high school in Loveland, Colorado. He moved with his family to Artesia, New Mexico, in 1973, and eventually made his way to Ruidoso in 1979. While in Ruidoso he owned and operated several business including Builders Lighting, The Castle Mountain Music Show, and Camelot Storage Units.
Don is survived by his five children: Kathy Moritzky and her husband, Todd; Don Miner and his wife, Karen; Dan Gates and his wife, Kathy; Nicolette Miner and her partner, Joshua; and Richard Anklam and his partner, Becca. He was Granddad to Nathanael Hedin, Elisha Hedin, Rebekah Lawson, Aidan Gates, Madeline Gates, and JJ Sanchez. He also has four great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ike Levan, Dawn Milam, and Becki Hedin and so many others who cared for and supported Don during these last several years. Your concern and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 11 at the Gavilan Canyon Cemetery in Ruidoso. Please check the LaGrone Funeral Home website (www.lagroneruidoso.com) for the exact time. The public is welcome to attend.
